I made this to accompany the segment on how to make Japanese-style crockpot curry I gave on the latest episode of the Detective Conan World Podcast http://www.detectiveconanworld.com -- curry rice just happens to be mine and Conan's favorite food. :)
All photos were taken by me EXCEPT for the rice which I got from http://www.sxc.hu/
Please enjoy! It's so tasty and feeds tons of people/makes for great leftovers.

The mild curry sauce is REALLY mild... and applesauce on the side helps to dull that even more. BUT, if that's still meh, there are recipes out there for the same curry sauce and you could go through and bring down the spices manually...
Flarveon also mentioned "adding cinnamon, honey and apple instead of onion if anybody ever likes sweet curries."
Without the curry mix, it's really just a stew, so you could do that instead, too. :)

The good thing about the crockpot is that it keeps things nice and warm over a very long period of time. So, it varies depending on when I have time to finish making it. ;) 12 hours is usually what I do for my parties, since I start it at midnight and people show up at noon... and if I'm making it before work, I just let it cook for 8 hours... If I want something saturday evening, I start it around noon and eat at six.
SO... ... yeah. :D

FYI, I've just tossed all the ingredients into the cooker. :3
Should be ready for the next step in 9 hours.
Unfortunately, that brand of curry mix doesn't exist around here. So I'll be using Patak's "Mild" curry paste instead. Mix that stuff with a little cream, and you've got sauce.

Oooh, yeah, that WOULD be delicious!
I added a little bit of water when I reheated leftovers for lunch, and it was perfect. So now it's kind of like I have curry concentrate lmao!
I can't believe how MUCH curry this made. I'll definitely be eating off of this over the next week.

Yeah, this recipe is the best! It's probably the first time a recipe has turned out so well for me. And I've followed a whole lot of recipes.
You should totally do more of these! The curry was really inexpensive (the only "expensive" thing was the meat), so it was right up my alley!
And, you know, I'd assume the curry is somewhat healthy, being packed full of vegetables and all.
