No, not a trick!
So, I feel we can finally talk about this a little more in depth now. Those of you who have met us at cons know that the bulk of all writing and art for Ringtail Cafe (the company) is handled by two people. Over the last year, we've been expanding the bounds of that. We started to hire colorists, letterers and so on.
We shifted our primary focus over to The Confectionaries because honestly, it is a LOT of work to keep multiple titles going at one time and we felt we had a better focus for it. However, we still get a TON of requests, questions, love letters and death threats pertaining to when we would be doing issue 6...
Well here you have it! It's real. It's in production.
You may be wondering about the two new names you see on the cover. Well that's because we have a new writer and a new artist. Both of whom are talented members of their trades.
This story is scripted by :icondasharhosenwyn and the art is by :iconaerokat
Dasha is a fun writer with a number of publications under her belt, whom we had the fortune of running into at IFC. She wrote a short script for us based on RTC and we were impressed with how she managed to capture our writing and humor style.
Aerokat is a talented comic artist who produces a number of comic series of her own. She approached us a little while ago and treated us with some sample art of the RTC characters in her style. We thought her art was a great fit for bringing the series back.
Fear not however, the main writer and artist of Ringtail Cafe have not stepped away. The storyline is still written out by The Tak :icontak and the panelling and art direction are guided by Salmagundi :iconsalmagundi (formerly known as Growly Genet) so it will have the same feel, humor and witty snips you've come to know and love.
ETA on this? Quite soon. Can't give you an exact date but we should be bringing this book to Anthrocon!
