Just dabbing into another exercise of not using the B&W method.
I have to really start adding details and other obvious adjustments are needed.
Oh and about the style: I've been trying to create different styles instead of just focusing on one because its fun to draw with different methods instead of creating drawings with the same method and also, this style (anime I think) makes learning some of the fundamentals extremely fun =D~
If some of you guys like my previous style then that's fine, I'm doing both =]

Photomanipulation.
I had a picture from New York of a huge building.
In photoshop (CS4):
I have the picture on its own layer and set the layer type to which ever I use the photo for based on the situation.
Usually i set it to overlay, color dodge, or luminosity (if the whole image is still in B&W).
Afterwards, I just paint over them to make it more stylized~
