When he was a WoW character, Nicholai has a pet fox. Well, now that he's in Oscurita, I decided to give good ol' Vexx an upgrade to Cryptwolf.

Nic found Vexx as an orphaned pup after a Centaur hunting party killed his parents and littermates, driving off the rest of his pack since they were threatening Centaur livestock. He raised the little pup, who started out as a runt, into a fine adult Cryptwolf who scarcely leaves his master's side. After Nic was killed by a Centaur while scouting, he was awakened in the forest where he fell by a passing spirit-mender, with Vexx curled beside him, showing loyalty even after Nic's death. Needless to say, both of them were exceedingly happy that their adventures together were not yet over.
