Attempt at time exposure of a Fender guitar amplifier. I simply love that warm friendly glow from the tubes.
The English name is a 'valve', peculiar but accurate. This is taken at 30 sec, f11, at ISO1600.

Wow! Larry Fast/Synergy! Not only is that a blast from my past, I thought I was the only person in the world who knew about that! (Actually J/K) I guess thats what subliminally inspired the picture!
The amp pictured is a 1967 Fender Princeton I have been restoring. New tubes, recap, new cabinet. Here it is on my bench: http://ffex.deviantart.com/#/d4ux2p7 and here's what it looked like after sitting for years in the garage: http://ffex.deviantart.com/art/Rest.....ject-199069181

It's kind of fun seeing the circuit board without the cabinet around it. Of course I kind of prefer seeing the inner workings of things as they're far more visually interesting than just a cabinet sitting on the floor. (I guess it comes from all those years of looking at steam locomotives and learning what the various bits of machinery hanging off the sides of the boiler are for.) True, a nice cabinet with good, sturdy wood protecting the delicate glass valves and circuits is far more durable, so I like seeing how folks come up with clever ways to make their Amps more "Travel Sturdy." By the way, the close up photo of the amp in it's "Before" stage does have a "!960's" look to it. Rock on.
It's just odd, reading the notes, you would think that the film (or whatever) would be more sensitive than that. I'm pretty sure that I could've gotten it in...perhaps four, maybe eight seconds, but there's really no way of knowing without actually setting up such a shot...and I don't know where you live.
