So, I went to update my fursuit head with a jaw attachment and when I tried it on, lo and behold, my rubber-based eyes had fogged up so much with exposure to light and temperature that they needed to be replaced entirely.
Now, this is probably about the fifth solution to the eye problem that I have come up with. I really didn't want to do it, but I went ahead and did the whole tear-duct screen thing with a false eye. And, yes, I went a little overboard with the holes, but darn it, I want to be able to see where I'm going and what I'm doing. I don't want someone to have to hold my hand every time I go somewhere in this thing, so sacrificing a little surface area became necessary.
I got these little portable lights from Michael's and they have a clear plastic top that screws right off. I tried to see through those but the area was way too concave that I was basically blind using them. So I painted the inside and tada! Instant custom eyes. I still have to do a paint job around the eyes so they don't look so... pasted on. But that's all in time. Next is jaw. Seriously this time. There should be absolutely no reason to come back to this problem again.
