The Story of the Truth
Chapter 3: The Warden
“So…you are the two vault hunters that have been causing a lot of destruction around this planet. However, I thought there were more of you and not just you two. Am I correct?” the Warden asked Soldier.
“There are indeed two of us…but I do not know a pinpoint location of where they are.” Soldier replied.
“Oh? I may know where they could be…they could be in another town or another location on this planet. Or they could just be in the same jail as the two of you. However, I won’t tell you at all until either you or your friend do exactly what I say.” the Warden replied back.
Soldier sat back down on the bench and started to think. For the time being, Soldier wasn’t sure to follow what kind of plan the Warden had in mind for the two of them. He looked around and thought to himself…”should I follow what the Warden wants? Or is this a trick just to get information about the Vault?”
“I’m waiting sir. I do not have all day…” the Warden said.
“What kind of plan do you have in mind, Warden?” Soldier asked.
“That will remain untold for now. Do we have a deal or not?” the Warden replied back.
“Only if you at least wake up Hunter, we’re both a team.” Soldier asked.
“Oh, fine…guards! Retrieve the revival serum” the Warden asked the guards.
“Yes, Sir!” the guards replied.
One of the two Crimson Lance guards ran and grabbed the revival serum out of their belongings. He handed the serum to the Warden.
“You promise you both won’t run away when we unlock the chains and revive your friend right?” the Warden asked.
“…yes…I promise…” Soldier replied.
“Good! Now your friend will feel a slight jolt of pain and energy. Let me know if anything else happens, because this serum is untested.” The Warden said.
Soldier nodded his head in response. The Warden inserted the serum into Hunters left arm. Hunter jolted back and shook his head in response.
“What the hell was that?! My god that hurt!” Hunter shouted.
“Chill the fuck out. You’re at least awake and alive…for now.” One of the guards smirked.
“Could someone explain to me what the fuck is going on here?” Hunter asked, glaring through his goggles.
