Another render of the Generation Ship. This time, a close-up of one of the gantry junctions, with an attitude thruster firing.
For those who are wondering about the scale of the beast, there is referent in the picture - if you can find it. :) Just so you know, the referent is close enough to the genship for parallax error to be negligible.
My apologies for the darkness of the image. Since it's a deep-space encounter I limited the light level, forgetting that I tend to keep the gamma on my monitor a little higher than normal... so it came out even darker than anticipated.
This is a storyboard shot for the animation I did to accompany my presentation --- which, of course, wasn't required in the brief since the course was about art and not animation. But, being me, and wanting something to make my audience sit up and take notice... *chuckles softly* (I'd post the animation, but it runs to over 100MB.)
