Whoever met me at AC (and that actually weren't that many of you, I think ;) ) know that I was always running around with THE most amazing artcase in the history of mankind and artist cases. It didn't actually belong to me, but I would seriously and without a second of hesitation kill for it. Luckily
verra just gave it to me without a fight and let me brag with his awesome work (IT HAD A LIGHT BUILD IN)
Thanks again soo much to labbeh for this present, to Lizardbeth for drawing the she-wolf so well, and to verra for producing an art case that still inspires me to draw :)
If any of you ever consider getting an artcase / toolbox of any kind, you should annoy
verra until he builds you one. I'm serious.

Cool, i have something like that but mine is the messenger bag, from Mirrors Edge, to hold one... Or a few sketch books. It's not pretty, odd yellow colour, but it was free with my game and it's lasted for several years. I also have a marker case that's made by, and meant for, Copic markers that i use to hold my tools. All I'm missing is a hard surface and my kit is fully portable :D
I have nothing like that myself, I just always throw everything in random bags, but this case had EVERYTHING. Space for all the stuff, kept it neat and tidy, had a light build into it and you could alter the angle to draw in every lighting condition, had a big hard surface you could easily take out and use to draw if you had no desk around you, and the design of the whole thing was just amazing :)
I should probably really get a more personal toolbox myself, but.. I'm ruined for that now
Dare you to draw a picture with yours now though

Challenge accepted lol. Annnnd now I'm looking at my bag and realizing... It's shit. That sound like the god sent of all set ups. It almost sounds like a portable studio. I love the sounds of that light feature, i've tried to MacGyver something that would keep my work lit up (I do most of my drawing at night), but it ain't easy and that adjustable hard top ooooo I want to take apart my desk and turn it into a animation table now lol I got the parts for it too from back when I was in school for it.
Well I am untalented as can be with things like that but
verra is a genious. The bunk bed I slept in at his place was completely self built out of spare parts. Coolest thing in the world :) I wish I could do stuff like that. I hope he builds me a lightbox at some point

You'd be surprised at what some people can build with the right inspiration. Back in the summer between grade 5 and 6 i made a fully functioning robotic arm out of cardboard, string and mini motors just because i got bored one day. Was awesome, worked exactly like a real arm each thread of string represented even muscle group. I wish i could draw as good as everyone on my watch list, what im good at isn't exactly useful in this century XP
Wrong region, i was thinking more turn of the century London something to do with mechanical stuff, i could have been the Da Vinci of steam lol ok maybe not that smart but i could have actually made a living with a hobby if i lived back then. Although, I've always wanted to try and TRULY camp, ya know you only have tools and a tent with you, miles away from anyone live off the land for like a week or so. Hunt your own food and such, i even have a "survivor bible" is has everything you need to know about surviving anywhere
