The remainder of last night's chocobo doodles. These scanned cleaner than the others (possibly b/c they were stand-alone doodles that were inked on their own, as opposed to being color-inked and half filled in before scanning), so I fiddled with the lineart a bit and gave 'em the full flat-color treatment.

Chocobos are awesome, and you do a very good job of making them properly chibi.
(Always thought the concept of large birds - generally more hardy - taking the place of horses to be quite intriguing, though most chocobos don't have a fraction of the personality of Kai and Kui - the inspiration for them. Kai and Kui were "horseclaws" and were the primary riding animals in Miyazaki's Nausicaa manga. Your style of drawing chocobos makes them look a lot like Miyazaki's horseclaws. )
