Odd that a snake-man would have pointy ears; snakes have no outer ears at all :P. Perhaps he is half elf?

Snake people are a fictional concept, so by definition, they can be designed however one may wish.
The exact species he is based on is called "Yuan-Ti pureblood", from D&D it apparently.
...And snakes may not have outer ears, but people do, so...

People do indeed, but in between human ears and snake ears is most likely smaller ears, not pointer ears XD. Yeah, probably elf rather than human, as far as the human-esque part goes.
Yuan-Ti are such strange creatures to begin with though; I think they can have snakes in place of limbs, which seems very bizarre biologically and probably the experiment of some demon or whatnot.


But again, I get off on this kind of in-depth analysis. It makes for stimulating discussion XD.

So concerning the subject on what may be the correct approach, I find no discussion can be had; since technically there is no correct approach (generally speaking).

BUT, if we were to discuss the benefits and realistic points of the design choice based on the characters (or species) environment...then we'd have something :)

Ah, I just noticed; those clothes look quite warm. Rather useful for a cold-blooded creature.

i must ask. how did you decide on such an interesting weapon? ive been searching for it when i had seen this beautiful piece of art and if it indeed has a name what would it be?
