I've started cutting Phipaw magnets for Anthrocon. I have over 20 cut so far. I have enough material for another 35-40, but I don't know if I'm going to cut all of them out.
Since I have them already made, I figured there was no reason I had to make everyone wait until Anthrocon, so I put a listing up on Etsy.

They are 4" wide and just under 7-1/2" high. $5.00 ea, plus $1.00 s&h

Thanks! A friend suggested I might be able to run magnetic sheet through my vinyl cutter last year, just before MFF. I gave it a shot and it worked! I made up 4 as test pieces to sell at MFF and they were gone in a couple hours on Friday. I hope they are just as popular at AC.
Sorry, no. The sheet magnet material only comes in white.
I've tried painting them with spray paint, but when you bend them the paint just flakes off. I also tried applying a layer of colored vinyl to the sheet magnet before I cut them, but the additional thickness is too thick for the vinyl cutter to cut.
At some point we will unearth the airbrush equipment that got buried in the move. When we do, I want to try out acrylics and inks to see if they will stick without flaking off.
Someone suggested that I could try running the material through our ink jet printer, which might work. But cutting the roll down to legal size pieces would seriously decrease the number of magnets I could get from a roll, and increase scrap waste.
I am open to any ideas you, or anyone else, might have because it's a question I get asked a lot.

Thanks for the links! You rock! However, 30mil is too thick for my vinyl cutter. In order to run the magnet sheet through my vinyl cutter, 12mil works best. It can go as thick as 15mil, but 15mil will leave me with jagged edge tears because it doesn't cut quite deep enough.
Between when I started this reply, and now, I had another couple asking "can it be not white?" so I called the manufacturer. They said that the 12mil in color would be a custom order and I would need to order at least 400sq.ft. She couldn't give me an exact quote, because I would have to go through the distributor, but a quick calculation puts that around $700-800.
But since it does seem to be the first question everyone is asking. I think a trip to Michael's to have a harder look at "coloring agents" is in order.

I'm not doing any more of the magnets. The magnetic material behaves badly in the cutter, skipping sections and cutting in strange directions. So I ended up with a lot of magnets that were cut really badly and I couldn't sell them. When I talked to my main supplier about it, to see what I might be doing wrong, they were aghast that I would put magnets through the cutter. Apparently there are electronics in the cutter that could be damaged by the magnetic sheet.
So no more magnets. Once the ones I have are gone, that will be it.
OTOH, if you want to have custom vinyl cut, I would be happy to do that.
