I feel the same. Its the downside of going to an out of state college (tough to connect with my high school friends, let alone make new connections). I'm barely back long enough to make these. But, I am graduating this year!

Me and my ex mate went to the last meet and we didn't know anyone there at all, but still had a wonderful time, not to mention we made a lot of new friends. We drove a hour and a half from New York just to go to this meet. If you notice in the upper left hand corner with the purple ears and the white hair, that was me. :3 You should totally go sometime, it is a lot of fun.

Not to mention I'll be making the trip again for this up coming meet with a few new friends from New York. :3

i also technically am not sapposed to be driving like atall lol till court date of feb 21st so that kinda puts a damper on things

Yes there will be! Remember, every FIRST FRIDAY of each month there is a meet at this diner! (If lets say, the weather is absolute crap [ mostly in the winter] then its postponed) :D

The meet is in Rocky Hill, CT at the Town Line Diner, the meet usually starts around 7 PM, but I'm sure there are people there sooner. This place is fursuit friendly, so feel free to waltz in and join the group towards the back of the diner like me and my ex mate did. We generally tend to hang out in the parking lot after the meet is over for photos and such, cause we generally try to exit the diner by 10 PMishness. Hope this information helps. :3

I actually don't live too far, prolly a 15-20 minute drive at the most but things keep coming up on those fridays. That and the fact that I know literally nobody there makes me less eager to go out of my way to make it. Does look like fun tho. What goes on at one of these meets?

And I am still a little weary about getting spotted at a furmeet in an area where a lot of my friends live . Heh, I did get spotted leaving furfright but I guess they didn't really know what was going on at the crowne plaza or why I was there lol. More like "why were you at a hotel?" and basically said I'd been invited to a hotel party. I just don't feel like explaining myself, furs tend to have a pretty negative stigma in the eyes of the fur-less... too bad really.

It's sad. I used to be one of the original people to attend those meets, but now it looks like none of the familiar faces I used to see there are still going there themselves.
