Of the first eight as I checked them out here at FA, this might be one of the most memorable and influential. Coupled with Tidal Night's "Magicians" project, I get the idea that in these settings, magician could mean more than just illusionist. Anyhow, awesome villain there.

After looking at a bunch of LJ posts and the "Shout it Out" text piece, I've realized that the bad guy brings a heap of qualities that you don't like in a character. Already having a dragon's physical gifts wasn't enough, and being self-made as a criminal boss-dragon wasn't enough minus the magic, which might have played a part in what lead up to his being the head of a major ring. Speaking of which, "tamperin' in dark-sided stuff," as one individual put it, is something at which you, as both author and character, would boo and hiss. The organized crime thing is a major red flag in society, and the means are probably about as despicable to you, again, both author and character, as the ends. Being a scoundrel and doing so in style adds romanticism, and the inflation trick, among other appeal builders, completes the anti-Fang.

If only he'd used his explosions for good instead of evil.
