When is comes to drawing weapons, as long as the rifle or pistol doesn't look like a melted licorice stick, it's good enough for me.
Some artists are really into militaria and do some impressive stuff, but if the story is so-so, I'm not interested.
I will say that the shoulder and forearm guards are cool.
