I keep saying it, but this is just adorable. I love Chloe's expression here, too. Neko's been so shy timid the rest of the time, I don't think she expected it any more than anyone else. But why not? Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind.
Also, if your last comment has to do with what you wrote elsewhere, to hell with 'em. Anyone who tries to tell you that you're wrong for being affection to another person isn't worth paying the least bit of attention to.

After a couple of days of seeing some pics like this from you, I must say I actually feel moved to comment.
I really haven't been commenting much for the past couple of months or so, but for some reason I really want to comment on this one.
I'm not sure how to put this without coming off as...awkward I guess.
But wow, I really have to admit. In terms of character personality development, or at least through what I've seen in art of your character, this is a pretty big leap.
Neko has always struck me (unsurprisingly) as being the shy and timid one...and here it seems she has grown to over come that in a way.
That combined with the changes to your character over the days with the new ref sheets and stuff, really adds a lot of "character" to...well...your character! xD
You said people have given you shit over pics like these, and I really don't see what the big deal is. You haven't broken any rules or anything, it was all done for fun anyway.
I guess you can't please everyone right?

However, Neko doesn't really need to develop as a character. I draw her as me. While of course I will draw more fantasy related things, in general her personality is mine. I am extremely shy and nervous but like anyone, once I get over my nerves, I can be a bit bold. I just generally leave it to the other person.
Yup, unfortunately people are taking it as a big deal even though it's just art. I've had people wrongly assume that I myself am a lesbian and then be homophobic about it. I've also had people literally label me as bi right after explaining I am straight. Apparently, if I draw such art, my orientation in real life changes as well *rolls eyes*
