"I said I knew the beat 'cause it matched your own beat
It's become my engine, my own source of heat"
I believe those are the lyrics that contributed a lot to this picture. dBear had this concept
sketched out while listening to "If There's A Rocket, Tie Me To It" by Snow Patrol. The concept of
those lyrics became the premise. I don't think I can describe this picture better than dBear already did:
"One of my favorite songs is by Snow Patrol, and it always makes me think of the bond between the most
important people in your life... how it feels to "click" with someone on more than a topical level, and how
that moment seems to reverberate backward through your life until eventually you start inserting them
into your memories of the past - even before you met them, because you simply can't imagine them not
being a part of your life."
There's a little more in his description in his post ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7657490 ) and it honestly
says everything I would want to say, and worded better than I can probably say.
I think Silverfox did an excellent job executing it to say the least. It's pretty wonderful, and a few minutes
after seeing it, I hopped into photoshop and tried to emulate the technique actually. :) There is nothing I can
do or say to diminish his efforts to making this art piece any less in quality.
That said... I think a lot of times, what gives art its impact, often times is the concept and story being told
with the art. Art's only a tool afterall. Concept and story is the foundation. And I think when I look at this
picture, without even reading dBear's description of it, his concept and story come across pretty clearly and
powerfully. And I think that really says something about the strength of his original concept.
I sometimes wonder, "Man, what would life be if I knew this person when I was growing up?" and it's easy
to just dive into daydreams of what it would have been like. This picture is probably what it would have been
like; spending summer afternoons building and creating dreams.
There's a lot of little details Silverfox put into this picture, and I've always loved that kinda thing. My favorite
little easter egg is the drawing on the wall behind Malleus, which references the evolution of the rocket from
the original thumbnail that dBear sketched up, to the fish rocket coaster that Silverfox improvised.
Conceptually, it also has little metaphors that are blatant or subtle depending on who's looking I suppose.
And god, do I love that too. :)
This is a very touching and special picture to me. Besides being well-executed, the story it's telling, the
message it puts across, is sorta precious to me, and I can't thank dBear enough for getting this commission
made, and getting to share some part of it. :) I can't fully express my appreciation for this...
*hugs tight and gives love*
Thanks you very much dBear and Silverfox. I can go on and on and blab about this, which I often tend to
do, but... :)

My gosh Keto... 8o
I have to agree, this lovely piece by SilverFox5213 did quite the amazing artwork, I don't think anything really needs to be said on how artistic this person is. Kudos to dbear for commissioning this.
There's so much to going on in this art piece. I can totally see where you're going with that statement about Snow Patrol. ( And hey, I didn't know you loved them. They're quite the awesome group. ;] ) The artist compose quite a compelling story, one in which I hope to find some day. I may not truly understand all the easter eggs or the details that link you to your character, ( ie: that sketch you mentioned ) but I can appreciate the idea on how integrated it is to your personality. That is just.. wow. :) Good show! Good show!
