I most certainly am familiar with Guybrush Threepwood. I loved the first three games of Monkey Island, but thought it started going downhill with "Escape From Monkey Island". The 3D controls were terrible, I don't think the 3D did it any favors anyway, and they badly retconned parts of the story. Didn't play any that came after because of the bad taste it left in my mouth, but Lucasarts may have changed things to make it better.

The first two are great and the third is just funny to play
but its true. after that its downhill.
BUT the new version of the first Part is just great. And with the klick of a button you can go back 20 years ago. I love it
and the music... THE MUSIC!!!

those flaps around the chest and wrists shouldn't be there and the stitches at the chest should be brown. use shoe laces for that perhaps, if not cheap/fake leather strips?
i don't know how much time you have left but i think a loose eyeball necklace might look good on your character if you fancy that but i'm not sure where to get the eyes.

oh, plus the original guybrush didn't wear a belt. just 4 gold rings with holes on the pants with the silk shirt loosely inside it but i'm not sure how you can easely solve that. 4 gold colored buttons perhaps? :/

and in the newest version for the pc it looked like a black belt
about the shirt... yes, I know about the chest and wrists. But it was the best shirt I could get.
trust me, the other ones are even more ugly.
