The idea behind this picture comes from this music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ThUrg19qug
This song and video was produced by my uncle and his wife in the early 2000s during their carrier as swedish Underground Dance-music artists (I got a pretty cool family...)
I gotta say, I completely endorse the logic behind this video:
"Crap, we wanna make amusic video, but we have almost no budget! what do we do? Well, the song is about flying, so lets blow all our budget on renting a vintage 1930s biplane and a secondary plane to film!".
That makes perfect sense, and by "makes perfect sense" I mean "works as an excuse to fly an old biplane!" but isn't that basically the same thing?
However, the mood of the image and title comes more from "Bird of Prey" by Fatboy Slim http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5Ngv1rIGUQ

Yes, cus he's not a pegasus. Though in the show they usually uses hot air baloons instead, WW1-era planes are a little outside their technology range.. (though curiously enough they still have turntables... and the concept of electronic music apprently... best not to think about that too much.)
