So I held a poll to determine which of my alien species I'd release info about first. "Big Cat" was the winner, so here is my Felarian species. This species has been with me for about 7-8 years now.

Felarians are a race that evolved from great cats. They have been a space faring race nearly as long as long as the Galactic Alliance has been around, but only joined the Alliance about 1,000 or so years ago.

They are a warrior race that had refused invitations to join the Alliance since their ascension to the stars. Instead they built up a reputation as pirates, thieves and mercenaries. They were a feared force in the Galaxy, but severely lacked in technology and trading due to the fact that they were not among the Allied Planets.

Eventually, their leaders decided to join the Alliance for the sake of their species' survival and have since tried to turn the image of the Felar species around. While they are not the ruthless warriors that they once were, many still do not trust them.

No "Na'vi" comments, please. I created this species years before Avatar came out and I cannot stress just how much I HATE that movie.

The male in this picture has shown up in several Felarian sketches over the years. I really like his design, so at a later point I may make him an official character of mine.
