On the flight back from FWA, 
wolfwithdances saw me staring at my blank sketchbook page, and suggested "Draw something that makes you happy." I reflected on the really great birthday weekend I had at FWA. Friday at the con I had a wonderful conversation with
kuddlepup, a dear friend, of a dozen years, just catching up and sharing memories. ... at the stroke of midnight kinda quietly said, "well, happy birthday to me." I'm not usually one to want a big fuss or crazy party for my birthday.
Little did I know KP and company conspired to get me to think people forgot, while they plotted a surprise the next day. At the end of the fursuit parade, they pulled me onto the dance floor among the 366 fursuiters, announced it was my birthday, flashed "Happy Birthday Yippee" up on screen, and sang to me.
I'm not one for fancy gifts, but this was probably the most touching and moving gift I could have received. Thanks KP and everyone involved!
On top of it all, it will be my birthday again during FWA 2013, and I've been invited as Fursuiter Guest of Honor! Talk about an awesome birthday present! :)

And I was standing on the dancefloor (wearing electropaw's border collie Scout) and was waiting to say happy birthday to you personally but I didn't want to interrupt and when I turned around you were gone lol :P
