Put an Aveo and an SVT focus next to each other and the SVT focus will be light years ahead in every way. Sure it isn't the fastest thing in a strait line but it is in all ways better then an Aveo.

The whole point of me posting this picture was to say that my focus is better then the Aveo, not to argue about if it is a real Ford or not. It could be the same car with a Reliant badge on it for all I care.

If you want to compare the Focus to a Chevy, try the Cobalt or the Cavalier. And if you want to go SVT, compare it to the Cobalt SS, except put a broken trans into the SVT to make it fair.
If you want to compare an Aveo to a Ford, you'd have to got back in time...to the Aspire.
The SVT doesn't have a monster engine, but it's overbuilt. Forged everything. It's forced induction ready. Mine has 176,000 miles on it. No engine trouble. None. Hell, it has the original clutch.
Also, it out-slaloms 911s and Corvettes. Can you say .91G on the skidpad, too?

Sorry, your bet lost. I didn't had a mustang, i used to have an 93 Crown Victory, and now i drive old german rubbish with 1.8 inline and "sucky" 122 bhp tops. But most thing i like in mustang drivers - they don't try to drag my 1.8, as Focus drivers.

Like.. they just know it's an old bucket with 5 liter VeeEight, that looses battle to imprezza 1.6 N/a. There's no 0-60 for them, there's just mileage (not to mention comfort)

The Focus was built to replace the Escort, both on the road and in rally. Ever hear of Carlos Sainz? Colin McRae? They raced and won in Foci.

Ford used to be heavy uncontrolleable coaches, what GM.Europe did with it - made another damn Skoda. I dunno how to explain.... it's like a ferrari made so-called "off-road" vehicle. I'm talking about they spoiled the ford. They used badge to create another compacter. Yes, it can be a mega-good car, but i'll say it again: Focus isn't a proper ford - wrong shape, wrong wheel drive, too many revs, interior is cheap and "flashy". That's the way germans see the car, but that's not ford way to make one.

It's like if Harley-Davidson would make a Racing bike.

I feel the same way about those Aveos. Sooooo shitty lol SVT Focus.. Car I have always been interested in. Not too fast in a straight line but a ball in the corners which.. Is much more fun. And WRX can Rally everywhere ^.-.^
