-take a pot with a lit and set it on a burner
-put the lid on the pot and set the burner on high
-after a moment or two, take half a stick of butter and put it into the pot, then put the lid back on
-take a spud
-skin it, then cut it into small cubes (half an inch sized cubes or smaller work best for me)
-once butter is melted, pour in you spud cubes
-take a clove of garlic and break of 4 of the bulbs things (two or three if you are using actual onions)
-cut them up as tiny as you can then put them into the pot with the potatoes, then stir the garlic in
-reseal pot, then either chop up roughly 1/8 of a white onion, then put those in with your potatoes OR sprinkle in a bit of onion powder onto your potatoes
-mix in with your garlic and potatoes
-take a pinch or so of basil and sprinkle that onto the mix, then a pinch or so of pepper as well, then mix again and recover the pot
-wait for a little while (until the cubes become soft)
- mash up with a wooden spoon (thats just what I use because the spatula doesn't work for it. You can use whatever you feel necessary), and stir
UNLESS you are going for more cubes then mush, just skip that mashing step
-use a fork or other utensil to test the softness. When it is nice and mushy (or really whatever texture you really desire), turn off the heat and dish out the mix onto a plate or into a bowl.
-ENJOY
haha, I created this recipe just by dicking around
if you decide to make it, have fun! ^^
