There is a reason why, even in tribal battles, the Crocodyl Shamans are left quite alone, for the most part, and why they are very feared when they do step into combat. They are naturally attuned to some form of elemental magic, one of the most feared of which is fire, which happens to be fairly rare.

This is Sh'va, Nazakh's mother and the Shaman of his tribe. She is one of these rare flame-wielders, which means she is very well-respected and her opinion is highly considered in tribal meets, even by Nazakh's father, the Chieftain, who is growing infamous for his general disregard for his people's suffering.

She is highly intelligent, and while she is blind, her senses and magical attunement make her more than capable of carrying on a relatively normal life. She adores her son, who is quite devoted to her as well, even though the Chieftain did not give her a choice in conceiving him. She is calm and calculating, and thanks to her prodigious healing skill is quite possibly thee only thing keeping their tribe from being completely destroyed by the plague, though she does not know how to stop it entirely.
