The way the scanner washed it out actually lends to its total effect, though. I love how all that crisp detail and color in her hair fades at the bottom into gentle waves, and the composition in the way you've framed the cove. It looks like it could go on forever, and the mermaid looks sad, almost as if she has a guardian watching over her in a moment of grief
