Everyone, meet Adam Thornheart. Latest in the long family of knights that vowed to protect the royal family, and have succeeded to do so for generations.
Just like his late father who protected the king and queen before him, Adam has been tasked with protecting the queen, Eliza. Unlike most other knights who try to impress her so they can get in her panties (as she is without a husband at the moment), Adam puts his job, and loyalty to the queen, at first place-he's honest, incredibly loyal and selfless, first one to charge into action if anything threatens Eliza. Thanks to this, she appointed him as her personal escort, performing tasks she gives to him, be it errand boy or courier when needing to deliver a message to someone, or a personal guard when she travels to other places. On few occasions she intentionally threw herself into dangerous situations just to see what will he do to save her-and every new moment he saves her is more impressive than the one before. His hard work is not forgotten or unnoticed by her, of course-she rewards him in her own way....
