During a short trip to Las Vegas due to my job, I only had 1 free afternoon to myself before leaving. I decided to spend it going to the Liberace Museum. Both because he helped create showmanship as we know it today (from reinventing the ideal of a diva, to introducing the concept of 'bling'), and also because mom said she'd kill me if I didn't take pictures there.

I must admit that about half the photos are a little blurry, either from a shakey camera (using my iphone), or because of all the reflective surfaces and glitter, my light and color correction kept having heart attacks.

Still, most came out well, and I share with you the style and flair of Mr.Showmanship himself. No one before or after will ever compete.


Sadly, the museum was closed a month or two after I saw it. I have no idea what happened to these beautiful pieces, but I hope they continue to survive. Liberace makes Lady Gaga and Cher combined look tame. NO ONE has or will be able to outdo him, the original.
