Ladies and gentlemen, I am happy to announce that I have properly discovered that I can indeed draw and color backgrounds now. I never thought the day would come where'd I'd even come close to saying that... but this should be proof enough that I have the potential to keep going.

Color: 7 hours in Photoshop, 3300x5100 px

I had hand-drawn the sketch awhile back and only finished a portion of the left-hand side so I cropped it to that and got to work. The involvement in this project was crazy, something like 8 hours of research, reference gathering, thumbnailing, sketching, and finally fleshing out. THEN I colored it.


This is my first attempt at a more realistic detailed scene, created for my background design class' Paradise project. I like it! What do you think?
