Old news, I know.
I do love to have a beer with my human friends and
discuss such topics as the human-animal bond, the nature
of our existence, our place in the universe and the acceptance
and ultimate demise of societal norms vis-a-vis fursuiting.
After a few empty bottles dot the bar, the conversation often becomes
less erudite and turns to sports, cars and booze.
I've debated the merits of certain brands of beer until my plastic eyes
cross, and I'm amazed at the fervor that certain folks have for
(or against) a particular brew.
I'm guilty of liking just about everything.
An unrefined doggie am I.
I don't condone anything in excess, and I sure don't recommend
booze to anyone. And good dogs NEVER drink and drive.
But...
I wanna know; if you drink beer, what do you like?
I'm taking an informal pole here.
The results will be published in an obscure scientific
journal read by tipsy mutts.
Nothing beats a cold Corona on a hot afternoon, but
I'm always open to suggestions!

Now if I can just keep my tail from knocking over the empties...

I'm surprised we're not on Corona's Christmas list.
As for beer...it really depends. If I'm drinking to truly enjoy a good bear, it's almost always a dark beer; oatmeal stout, porters, doppelbocks, cream stout. If it's a hot day, Corona, Heineken, Longboard lager...basically lagers and ales. If I'm drinking beer to get drunk, then it's Corona, Heineken, Miller Lite, Grain Belt Premium....basically watery-ish beer that goes down easy, quickly, and is cheap.
Really, it all comes down to what I like, what I'm feeling like, and what's in my refrigerator. Tonight, and for the last few days, it's been Heineken, though that will soon be gone and replaced by something different.

I'm in agreement with your first statement. Hell, I've even made a beer commercial for them!
Tell you what though, the two beers I drink the most of are Four Peaks Kiltlifter, a wonderful AZ brew which I'm sure you're familiar with, and Fat Tire from New Belgium Brewing Company. Both are delicious beers :3
Tonight's beers were Kiltlifter and now probably going to polish off the Heineken in the fridge. Tomorrow will be a Corona night methinks.

My old man brews his own beer, he's got all of the stuff he needsto make it, but sometimes he has one or two of his friends to come over and brew their own beer too. Kinda neat cool isn't it, and no I don't secretly drink when my parents or brother aren't around, and also NO my fasha isn't an alcoholic!!
I'm hoping to get a chance someday to try out beers, I'm familiar with beers in the sense of like a fine wine. I grew up in wine country (not Napa - they just make auto parts!) and have learned how to appreciate a good wine. I just have never had a chance to try beers and discover their special flavors like a "beer snob" sort of thing!
Oh geez...Sooo many beers! Where do I start?
I dont really think Ive stuck with a particular type for too lomg. It usually depends on what's available or what the environment is.
Probably the ones I tend to stay away from are stouts. They're jusr too malty for me..
You're doing good with the coronas though. A good warm-weather, multi-functional beer that's probably the unofficial beer of choice in your neck of the woods. Maybe one day we'll see you in one of their adverts. :)

I don't always drink beer, but when I do...
Ok, I can't finish that. Truthfully, I am not a huge beer drinker. I've had many kinds, but can't get into the taste. Something about hops just doesn't do it for me. However, there are a couple that have come close for me.
Magic Hat (a microbrew based in Vermont), makes some very good beer. I've had their Number 9. Its taste is a bit more on the fruity side, if I recall correctly. But compared with the others, it's good.
Other than that, Guiness stout is good. But I have to qualify that. I've only had Guiness in the context of Irish Car Bombs. Those are delicious. But I probably wouldn't enjoy them if the Guiness, itself, was bad. :)

Hah. You should definitely give it a try. Often they're done as races, to see who downs it the fastest. :)
But also, good beers I've come across were Killian's Red and (if you like IPAs, which I don't) I hear that long Trail is good. Blue Moon, as someone else said, tends to get some loving. And I also want to say Dogfish Head, too, but I'm honestly not sure if I am remembering it for being good, or just its awesome name. :p
Also, Sam Adams makes a generally good brew. But it's a favorite around here, and as a Massachusetts husky, I may be a bit biased. :3

http://www.averybrewing.com/ Lately I've been enjoying White Rascal. Really like Ellie's Brown Ale (It's "Lab tested" Ellie is a Chocolet Lab!). Also like Stellas, or if I'm in a hoppy mood, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
I don't always drink beer...
But when I do, I prefer Hefeweizen. It's not a brand, but rather a class of beer, brewed with citrus. My favorite is the Paulaner Hefeweizen, which I have thus far been unable to find at any store. I can only find it at a restaurant near my house, which by the way has a $15 hamburger that is worth every cent.

I tried only Raging Bitch from Flying Dog,honestly i didn't enjoyed it very much but i know there are more types,i will try them :3 but if i'm the one (and usually the only one) who have to drive i don't drink,it take me looong time to taste all the types XD
Near here there is a very wonderful place for beers lover with more than 250 beers listed on sales,a little more far away another place with around 400 beers listed and,in the end,a very big place (unfortunately 160 miles away from here, but near my mate house ) with around 600 beers listed....pure heaven with every every kind on beer possibly imaginable XDD

If I'm drinking a long neck, it's of root beer...
AND FYI, Royal Crown Cola is the best! There's a bar here in Columbus that is my pack's new favorite hang out, because of the great alcohol prices, but more importantly they have AMAZING food! Mondays is $1 Taco day, and these are fresh tacos made with rel ingredients, and Thursday is $5 or $6 Nachos day depending on if you get beef or BBQ pork... Lightpaws got the pork and i wish i had too.
And on nights when my friends and i are sitting at the bar and they're drinking, the bartender will give me a free RC since I am the Designated Wolf. :>

My go-to beer is Newcastle Brown Ale. I'll ask what is on tap, and I mostly just listen for it among the selections. At microbrew places I'll try more of the brown ales, porters or stouts. Not as fond of the lighter beers, though I do like to try wheat or Belgian style - I am kinda fond of Shock Top, in a pinch, if there's no Heffeweisen. I lived off Heffeweisen while in Germany, tho I did try the Kolsch style while in Cologne. I did like Yuengling when I tried it back east, and was so happy to find it on tap at the Hard Rock in Atlanta.
I forget, do you have a smart phone? Are you on Untappd? It's sort of like Foursquare, only you check into beers. It's nice to at least keep a tally on stuff you've tried.
Good hanging with ya at FWA, and sharing conversation over drinks and mai tais with you 'n TeH!

I love beer! I generally tend to shy away from dark beers. My personal favorites are as follows:
1) Molson Canadian
2) Hefeweizen (Pyramid)
3) Pilsner
4) Kokanee
5) Corona
6) MGD
7) Bud
8) Extra Old Stock
9) Keystone
10) Pabst Blue Ribbon
We should have a couple beers @ RF if you go this year. :D

Depends on the occasion.
Hanging out with friends and not really planning to have more than one or two drinks, and Guinness Extra Stout, Killians or Sam Adam's Irish Red. If I'm planning to have a couple beers and I'm definitely not driving? Corona with a wedge of lime. Took a liking to that mix while hanging out with my dad xP.
Strictly talking beer for that, of course. The roommates over here prefer liquor, so it's usually Captain and coke, or gin and tonic. Gin and tonic's a touchy one, though, since bartenders can be a bit hit or miss with mixing them. We haven't restocked from the last time we had drinks, but we usually have at least one bottle of Captain Morgan private stock, a bottle of Crown Royal and a bottle of Jack, a bottle of Gin, usually one or two bottles of wine (right now it's Apothic Red and a bottle of mead), a bottle Svedka (Quintuple distilled. At least the Vodka can be good xP) and a large bottle of Jagermeister, since it's our universal drink (one of the few that we and our friends all like).
Keeping that stuff stocked can get expensive, so we don't drink that often. Most of the time we'll unwind with like one or two drinks, and then put the bottles away and just enjoy the night sober. Partially because we respect the alcohol and what it can do, and also because we know we can have plenty of fun sober ^^.

I love your beer choices!
I don't know much about mixed drinks, but Captain and coke sounds
like it could be a winner.
I glad that you are able to have fun sober. Many folks think they MUST be
drunk to have fun and that is certainly not the case!
I applaud your respect of alcohol and its consequences.

unfortunately, I am not old enough to drink yet, and on top of that, I think Ill be the only responsible one and take the drunk people home after the parties so even when Im old enough I wont really be drinking too much XD ah well X3 somebody has to make sure people come home safely
Not much of a beer drinker, if I do usually something on the darker heavier side. Preferred drink of choice is Jack & Coke(which I'm drinking now )
Last beer I had was called Werewolf, from Lithuania, was pretty good and at 8.2% alcohol good bit of kick to it.
Overall I'm a happy drunk, I dare say I'm easier to get along with when I'm drunk than sober.

I could never stomach beer. Most liquor I've never liked either. But I do like a weak gin & tonic every once in a blue moon. Beer-wise I have to say that I can actually stand Woodchuck Amber cider. Is that even considered a beer? Either way, that & a few wine coolers & that's it when it comes to my alcoholic pallet. It's no surprise that I'm turning 27 next month & still never have been drunk. Ever. Lol
*waggwagg* I've honestly never met a beer I didn't like and I have met quite a few beers! I am a bit of a beer hussy if you will. Most of the regulars I drink are specific to Canada, local to Atlantic Canada and/or are independents. Canadian beer has a bit more 'ommph' to it than American beer % wise I am told.
Some standards you will almost always find in my fridge:
http://www.keiths.ca/index.html -> The Amber and India Pale is to die for!
http://www.alpinelager.com/en/ -> Just plain delicious
http://www.gahan.ca/handcrafted_ales.php -> Local brewery. All of their beer is just plain fantastic! Above all though I am a huge fan of their stout. It is like drinking a loaf of bread and so thick you can indeed chew it! A pint of this stuff is a meal on it's own! Ohh! And It'll get ya drunk too!
I am hoping to play host to you and your
teh one day so I can give you a beer tour of Atlantic Canada! glug glug stagger stagger *wagwagwag* repeat!

Usually I'll try to pair beer with the type of food I'm eating. For example, if I'm having Mexican I'll get a Tecate or Dos Equis. If it's seafood (or Mexican food, or Mexican seafood), probably a Corona with a lime. If I'm just having a burger or something, I like Fat Tire or Yuengling. And I always keep my eye out for small, local micro brews. Those are always fun, and unique.
If I'm just having a beer, or if I'm not sure what kind of beer I want, I'll usually side with the darker and heavier beers. Stuff like Guinness or Köstritzer. Basically most dark (to black) lagers. But I'll only drink that with really heavy and greasy food to go with it, or the beer would overpower the meal.
I try to approach beer like some people approach wines: there are different beers for different occasions. I like some pilsner beer, but I've never liked 'Lite' beers or anything generic, like Budwiser or Miller. It's way too watered-down for me. The only time I "enjoyed" a light beer like that, was when I was already well and drunk, and just needed something to drink to calm my nerves.
I know I probably sound like a beer snob, but I drink beer more for the taste than anything. The fact that it also gets me drunk is just a happy coincidence.

Well, there are a few that I enjoy that are easily found here in America.
Newcastle Brown Ale is a good one.
Leinenkugels Fireside Nut Brown (usually only sold around the winter seasons)
Warsteiner Dunkel (tho it has changed quite a bit recently from what I remember of it ten years ago)
Saint Peters Cream Stout
Michelob Amber Bok (but only on draught... lukily, I have a beer tap in my house ^.^)
Lighter Beers I like are
Saporo
Lions Head
Magic Hat No. 9
But the one that I REALLY enjoy, tho very hard to find here,
Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier
(Original Schlenkerla Smokebeer)
There are a few varieties of this Beer. Marzen, Urbok and a couple others. The 2 aforementioned are my favorites... because one tastes like Bacon, the other tastes like Sausage.
They are Smoked beers. like... Meat Beer.
It's an amazing and interesting flavour.... but you either love it or hate it. I've not found anyone who is in the middle on them.
They are made in Bamberg
https://www.smokebeer.com
If you can find them, try them. The only downside is that where I live, I can only buy them by the case... which cost roughly $100 a case.
but its a 24 bottle case and the bottles are 1pt 09Oz

Sure do. Tho right now I don't have anything hooked up on tap. Work has been slow and I just haven't had the time or assistance to get the keg up the stairs and hooked up. Plus I've got to clean the lines and the spout and haven't gotten around to it.
But if your ever in my neck of the woods and want to stop by for a nice cold draught beer, let me know. :)
There are far more beers I can think of to try, but those are just my favorites.
I don't consider myself an authority on beer. Nor am I a beer snob (tho there are some I won't drink because they make me feel sick)
I've just had the repeated opportunity to be in hundreds of bars and clubs all over the country and in other countries while on tour. So I get to sample a vast variety of different beers. I've even had a customer once who brewed his own beer give me a six pack of different blends he made once as a tip :D
