Well I thought it's be a cute idea just cause I would be able to use my small knowledge and love for gem stones to answer questions, manly why she came in to being. xD so I might just end up doing it

I have some books on it, and I own a few stones I really enjoy learning about it and spending my time learning more so yeah I suppose my knowledge would help XD

The creator is alright, i mean it is helpful when I want to send something to my friends but I would never make one and upload it as much character thats just annoying

I think it's because of the posing in the creators that people draw ponies with wrong front legs so often. they draw them jointed like dog or cat legs rather than horse

Saw someone on DA do a tutorial with wrong anatomy and i was like aaaaguh x_x

Horse's can be kind of hard to draw and learn the anatomy of, though so I can understand a lot of mistakes being made.

Looking rather good imo. Following the rules/guidelines of a good OC. (pony or not... althou the pony ones to xP)
And as said, going with proper anatomy is neat too. Really like the tail... what are those called? xD
Anyhow, the design is simple, neat and unique. Althou, for some reason I'm seeing her as possibly better as an earth pony, not entirely sure, but might be to gems being more "earth bound" or something.

the three gem stones on her cutie mark are mean to be Jade, Rhodonite, and the blue one I and debating on personally i want to make it lapis but I would have to add black and great to the stone then. As for the one in her tail it's a ruby just simple. I may change it.

I was debating on making her and earth pony, but because it deals with gem stones and the meaning I find it to often be a spiritual belief in them that bring people in to trying to understand gem stones so I thought the idea of magic would work better in why she is so connected with them beyond her cutie mark.

I knew (or guessed) it was a ruby, I just wondered what such accessory would be called, since it's not piercing or earring.

And magic vs earth might be debatable. Since Rarity has a gem finding spell. But Pinkie's family were rock farmers, which seems to be tied closer to the earth. That, and she was "madame "Pinkie". Earth ponies got a connection with the earth, and unicorns can interact with the arcane stream in the world. (at least that's my guess) So for me, logic wise, earth ponies would be more spiritual (but not as spiritual as ex: buffalo or zebra) But that's just me trailing off. So yeah, imo, both can be equally connected, just different ways. Either dormant inherent magic, a passive connection. Or a more direct interactive connection they have to use. So imo if she's supposed to be more "seer" (or whatever to call it) that inspects the stones, and just have a general connection/affinity for finding them. Or more of a "scryer", that use their magic to interact and find the stones, and to determine them overall. And man, I trail of too often ^^'

Well The way it is drawn I assume it's a spacer in the dread of her tail with a string or wire holding the ruby.

Well It's nice to have other opinions but she doesn't do either of those. All semi precious gemstones have meanings behind them, They all have health benefits, they all have certain meanings. She has magic because it means she'd be magically connected with these stones, knowing there meaning there benefits and having the energy control to purify them from the negativity that they can take in. So thank you for your suggestion but i'm leaving her the way she is.

And not to be like that: But technically all ponies have magic, unicorns can just show theirs the most superficially. Earth ponies are magically connected with the earth and their talent, just take ex: how AJ can buck a tree, and have all the apples fall down in the exact number and location she wants. Kinda random example, and I am trailing off again. Don't see it as a "trying to convince you", I just like to semi-ramble and discuss stuff. Wouldn't mind to chit chat more, but a submission ain't the place heh. Wouldn't have minded to hear some more about her concept thou.

It would depend I know people who call them spacers, or gauges some people really hate when they are called gauges. It is a kind of ear ring.

Isn't "gauge" kind of a wound of some sort?

Pretty design, really unique. <3 Makes me kind of jealous lol my pony's fairly generic. I was so worried about overdoing her design though

Oh your very welcome, I love her ask blog it's the cutest thing lol I'm thinking of starting one with this character you see here. I worried about the same thing with this character to, making her appearance too much to do more so when I decided to do the ask blog XD But if you try and relate things to the over all view of the character it got a lot easier.

like she is grey colors to match stones. Her hair is just a light grey. Made those colors so much easier to deal with xD

Well Cirrus is like a very light orange (lighter than Applejack) with a paintbrush made of cloud as her cutiemark. She's essentially a cloud-sculptor and makes art that way. I didn't want to end up with the generic "oh paintbrush" type art pony that dA has a lot of. Also she's a pegasus and I love messy/short/guyish hair so I had to be sure she wouldn't end up looking like Rainbow mixed with AJ. I think I succeeded, but overall she's fairly plain. Just orange with some brown mane/tail hair that has blue accents and blue eyes

She's cute but like I see ponies with all kinds of designs and stuff on them and I just go "...mine is orange."
I do really love her though. <3 She and Quill (boyfriend's poetry pony) are fun to draw. They give me an excuse to practice pony anatomy too

I would love to see her actually XD Like I say she sounds very cute, If I looked at this one she is just grey XD
