Here is my half of a trade with Daesiy of deviantArt, of her character Cardinel. :D Ended up making it a bit more elaborate than I'd planned, but once I got going I couldn't really see it any other way. My never-ending quest to figure out backgrounds continues, but I think this one is something of a breakthrough. Not sure how I consistently end up making backgrounds that are nothing like what I pictured, but that's okay. Maybe. I apologize for the anatomy fails; I started this quite a long time ago, haha. I fixed what I could (shortened the muzzle) but some things had to stay. And I tried doing cel style highlights to match the shading, but I couldn't get them to look decent. Gradients to the rescue.
Also I realize this is the second time I've tried the blurred foreground grass thing. The first time was also on a trade. also for Dae. :I But hopefully it's better executed here than there.
Very happy to have this finished. Two to go.

I can't believe nobody has commented on this!
Well, I think this really turned out amazing.
I really just love that cute face, and the beautifully soft fur detail.
Also that shading is simply gorgeous, and I just love that background! Especially the way you did each blade of grass.
