In all seriousness, though, VERY well done. If I might make a recommendation, next time put in some sort of real-world sign, like a night on the player's doorstep, or something like that. Maybe even pull the player into the game. Throwing the "it's not a game" theme in would take a horror story like this to the next level.

I feel terrible now... That poor Charmander. That Damian guy from the anime was a douche, but he was put to justice. This is just... depressing, heart-wrenching, and even slightly vomit-inducing. I'll probably never be able to play Pokemon again out of guilt... All the Pokemon I never raised...
