My very own Tyran Head.
Shortly after I made it, I tried my skills at doing a handmade lipsynch.
Its fascinating what you can do by working on a few dials. (^vxxv^)
This must have been 18 hours of work.

I'm not a rock person, I'm more electronica, but that song fits that character perfectly. ^^

You should try to make it a full body animation... Now that would be awsome!!! =D

Merging the head with a body seamlessly would mean I have to redo the morph targets, and that means I will have to redo the whole animation. Thats why you usually dont animate before you know you got you model finished. Sadly.. I wasnt so keen on waiting back in those days. I still got a JP T-Rex model lying arround though (^vxxxv^)

haha thats incredible -- I had somone ask me if I could help them with something like this. Only problem is that Im having a hard time witht he application for Mimic. Is that what you used? Or is this completly morphs, or what other program ^.=.~

The head was created in 3dsMAX 2.5 back in the days when 2.5 was still new, I might upload a creation montage soon.

Wait, did you say dials? I have been looking for something like a dial/knob pad so control stuff in photoshop but have had no luck in finding anything! Where do you find these things?

Sorry, I ment onscreen dials, the only think I am about to buy is a 3D Control Handle, just a knob that I can turn and push into directions to control stuff. As for photoshop I just use my WACOM tablet. Pressure sensitivity changes intensity, left slider for size, and right slider for zoom. Can't help you with the rest.

Polygon, or Nurbs?

is this through blendingshapes (morphtarget, or whatever the other terms are) or is this through spline controllers? ^^

Also like the simplistic, but personality right character design :)

I made 8 different morphtargets.
One is just for the eyeridgemovement
one for the tongue
the rest is lip and jaw movement
