Yes, true, but weapons are all designed to defeat other weapons!
Kinda like rock paper scissors.
A falchion would take out anyone using say...a broadsword, or something huge and heavy.
A shortsword or rapier would easily take a falchion because it's not quick or heavy enough.
But a warhammer or broadsword would take out a shortsword in seconds because they just couldn't defend at all from it!
