It's a lovely sketch for 6 hours, I was going to guess more so I can't imagine what it would look like if you took your full time on it
It just looks like something impossible to do with traditional methods, that's what the sketch portion was done with right?

No, you can sketch on programs like Photo-shop and paint-tool-SAI using a tablet.
Basically bringing traditional methods to the computer
(The sketch was done in a layer in paint tool sai, then a new layer is placed over that one and painter over ) No use of a scanner--
