Another of the few I'm adding now.
This was actually done from the very first sketch I ever made of Rick. The white sphere is actually an ethereal orb that is the source of Rick's powers and abilities. In his youth, that power was lost in an unfortunate accident, and he went through many years of his life in exile because of it. Later, an ancient hero returned to the earth and help Rick to regain this power, thus setting off events to save the world from an ultimate evil that would have been destined to consume it...
