Watching a new Suikoden intro and hearing the name entry music is seriously like the most exciting thing ever <3

I mean, there are the side games for the handhelds, but I hear they're not as good as the "actual" Suikoden games (except maybe 4...), so I can only hope there's a Suikoden 6 some day :(

UGH, I know, and they're never going to finish it! I mean, sure, they've done Tierkreis and those other two, but it's just not the same - stop just reusing the Suikoden IDEA and go back to the Suikoden WORLD. I want to know what happens with Pesmerga and Yuber, or learn more about Clive and his bloody mysterious guild. Seeing as how he seems to be THE dragon guy now, does Futch end up geting the True Dragon Rune? Do we ever find out the deal with Vikkie or Jean or their mysterious buddies who pop up in mention or in game from time to time?

Haven't played the "non-canon" Suikoden games, partly 'cause I'm worried about them just not having the same appeal, although for the chance to play another Suikoden game, I'd be up for it, if only I had the consoles for 'em :b

you should hear my and geek over Suikoden together a lot. lol we've done our rants about the side games, and lack of SuikoGiaden (which are really awesome stories) and still no Suiko 6.....kinda like Squeenix wont deliver Kingdom Hearts 3 and pushes out more shitty spinoffs. D:

guess all we can look forward to from Konomi is more Metal Gear fanservice....

Yes, I've mostly lost hope for Squeenix. Sometimes they'll do a pretty decent game, with some decent ideas and worldbuilding (I liked Deus Ex), but then they'll just rehash the same thing over and over again and it loses the passion and content and soul that people miss in old games - or like Assassin's Creed, that was fun/good, but now you're just beating a dead horse. Stop it.

So, failing that, they just bloody well remake old games and hope it'll trick us into giving them more money. Like the Final Fantasy series. Good god.

FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS RANT - my video games don't everything I want in a video game 8V

Squaresoft ended for me the day they merged with Enix. The two were better when they were competition for each other. But now they got fat and lazy and unimaginative. They aren't the powerhouse they were in the 90's. Then that merger happened halfway through the PS2 era and that was it... =[

And yeah I really want a Suikoden 6 but Konami is too busy milking metal gear solid to care about their other properties. Poor Suikoden and Silent Hill get no love these days.

Yeah, all my RPG-loving friends still mourn that merger.

Thank you so much <3 I keep meaning to do more Suikoden fanart (probably mashed together with "draw my own characters more" resulting in characters cosplaying like this :V), but I dunno if I'll ever find the time now! I had intended on doing a big "draw all my characters and friends etc. as Suikoden characters" for Halloween, but there are something like 40 characters I've got picked out and that's a lot to do x_x
