This story seems to be set in a parallel universe to our own in which dragons and dark skinned humans occupy an area much like Central America with a culture similar to the Maya and Aztecs. For smoking then, regular tobacco was commonly smoked in mesoamerica. The main human character appears to be from a distant land, being lighter skinned, suggesting an explorer/adventurer much like the Europeans that first arrived in America from Europe. Perhaps Markie will explain all of this in the story, but as a fantasy, it really isn't necessary.
The Princess dragoness seems twice as big as all the others, including the queen! She also seems to be a different species too, judging from different head shape, horn arrangements and skin texture/color. If she is the biological daughter of the Queen, her father must be a huge dragon too, with a similar appearance to the Princess. Will this be explained in the story? I don't recall any of your stories with a male dragon in them, but there must be a few around to produce Princesses. This story will probably be your best ever, and has the most detailed plot. Looking forward to every new installment.
