It seems our Military Dragons are getting into the fight now, hmm? Don't worry.
It Gets worse.

Backstory:
Another explosion, and a bit of shrapnel tore through the edge of a wing. Pieces of metal shrieked by, leaving trails of fire, and shimmering air in their wake. It was hard to even hear where it came from. Noise came from all sides. Screams of pain, metal tearing apart, gunfire, roars of challenge... It was all happening at once.
The dragons were trained for this. They knew their golden leader would pull them through yet another battle. They followed his lead into the smoke filled hell, twisting and turning to fight off the advances of the enemy. Some of the wounded were already slowing down, their blood already trailing to the dirt to be trodden on by others.
Even though no complaints were uttered at the wounds sustained, they instictively knew where their weakest spots where, and moved as one life form, always covering in any gaps in their ranks. These Demons of War always protected their own.
