I remember seeing this anime a while ago which I absolutely can't remember the name of. It was a funky dystopian future sort of thing with plant people who could grow giant tree-trunk arms and break stuff but were in danger of becoming permanently planted if they used too much of their power.
I wish I could remember what is was called, but this totally reminded me of it!
