don't read too much into it-- inter-tribal enmity is a story as old as Africa itself. The Rwandan Genocide is famous, but not alone and definitely within a context of complex social and tribal systems. Most tribes in Africa don't actively hate each other, however, and what's behind the trouble in the comic will soon come to light.
In that case I will say thank you. Seen too many authers and "creative types" throw in whatever event from Africa happened to have made it into the news in some way, and often not care about the details. Hence you see a mis-mash of crap which is set in a real place, has real people but has nothing to do with what really happened, or even this world for that matter.
Always good to see someone do some research into these things.
Oh, and I forgot to say this before. Been loving your art for a very long time. Has been something that I've counted as an influence for myself. More so the project I'm working on. :D

If you want the very simple version, it's called Red Vixens From Space and is about an invasion of Earth by a race of vixens.
Before I keep going, I must inform you that the idea came from the name, and the name came from a discussion I had with someone on B-Grade films about the end of the world/alien invasions. While the idea and the title might make it sound simplistic, my work on it has been anything but. More so since I'm trying to make this invasion be a more realistic version of things (where the nations of Earth make their stands, why they are invading Earth and not just using mass drivers/operating in this solar system without caring for us, etc) while still making it a fun take on things. There is more to it, but I'm not the only one who is working on the project in turning it into something we feel proud of. This is why I'm giving the more simple take on it then the more in-depth one. That, and try to save you from the already large (130k word length) series bible I have for this. If you are interested in more, I suggest you take a look at either Cyber Force Five http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7462500/ or Flergia Rising http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7594635/ which are in-universe stories created by the Amissa Empire, whom are the invaders.
As to why you are someone whom I have felt as an influence on this, well if comes down to a few reasons. Your art style, how you show/tell action in your works and the depth you put into the your works. I was aware of your works before I came up with Red Vix, but it was while looking over your works that make it clear to me just how much I should be lifting my game when it comes to this series. More so with the things you have posted on and about Sejhat so far. They gave me a much needed kick in the arse for this. ;)

Dayum.
This is the comic I've always been looking for. Excellently drawn, good story, good characterization, outrageous cocktails, plot twists, cranial deformation, lollipops, etc. And the guns... oh, the guns! As an avid shooter, let me say THANK YOU for actually caring about realistically depicting the firearms (not to mention the uniforms and vehicles).
I can't say I'm a furry, but this comic is good enough I don't care.
Bravo, and thanks for sharing. I'll definitely be picking up the books.
