The night was warm and quiet- with a delicate chorus of chipping crickets serenading the two lovebirds from the windowsill. Their flickering silhouettes told the story that needed to be told. It was simple; Juliette and Foxy were falling for each other. Juliette leaned in lovingly against Foxy, and nuzzled against his cheek, giving the boy an appreciative murr that bubbled from her throat.
"This is very nice. "She whispered- the warm cackling fire lighting their features and warming their hearts- much like each other. The crickets continued to sing- harmonizing a cover of "I wanna be loved by you" with a gentle, emotional warmth that seemed to surround them on the cool winters evening.
"Absolutely. This...this bubbly apple cider is absolutely wonderful. "Foxy beamed proudly. Juliette quickly nodded her head, a bright and toothy smile rippling across her lips.
"Oh yes! And the best part is it's non alcoholic! See Foxy?! You can enjoy drinks that don't get you drunk!" The wolf explained happily, her voice trickling into Foxy's left ear and immediately out the right. His eyes glazed over and the cobalt vulpine stared helplessly into space. Non...alcoholic...?
"...Foxy?" Juliette asked, snapping her fingers in front of Foxy's muzzle. Snap. Pop. No reaction. "....Foxy?" She asked again. The lights were on but nobody seemed at home. Sheepishly, The wolf's ears drifted down against her skull and a look of panic twisted her features. "I...I think I broke him!" She sputtered. However, her romantic evening with her boyfriend suddenly lost was the last thing on her mind when she heard the rattling engine of a car, and the front door creek open.
"Juliette! We're home!" A voice called out from somewhere in the house. The Wolf immediately flew into panic mode. WHAT?! NO! They weren't supposed to be home! NOT TONIGHT!
"OH....I'm uh...I'm in the living room!" The wolf called out. She hadn't exactly broken the news to her parents yet that her new boyfriend wasn't from Perfecto Prep. A local boy... Also, he was a fox, so there was that too. Didn't wolves eat foxes? She wasn't sure. She should have paid more attention in class than trying to think of ways to catch Donnie. Think Juli, Think!
Juliette's parents froze when they entered the living room, Juliette was kneeling in front of a light blue stature she was slowly chipping away at with a hammer.
"HEY MOM! DAD! LOOKS LIFELIKE DOESN'T IT?Q WHELP OFF TO BED! G'NIGHT!" She squealed, and pulled Foxy off the couch with a CLUCK dragging the frozen vulpine up the stairs. CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK went Foxy's head. Juliette stopped midstair and glanced at the camera, giving a shrug. "Normally I'd worry about brain damage....but it's Foxy. Who's gonna notice?" She sighed, and continued up to her room. Once safely in her inner sanctum- the door locked and Juliette leaning against it, Foxy rubbed his head with a groan.
"...Why does my face hurt?" The blue Vulpine whined. Juliette stared.
"That is a REALLY good question, Foxy, and I'm not gonna lie to you. " She explained. Her ears perked at the sound of sudden footsteps and she froze. Footsteps?! Her mother coming up the stairs! Panicked and looking around wildly, Juliette had no time to think!
"Quick! Out the window!" Juliette barked.
"But the window isn't open!" Foxy whined. CRASH!
"That sounds like a personal problem!!" Juliette called down below.
Downstairs Juliettes father relaxed in his favorite easy chair and frowned when he caught sight of the blue foxsailing through the sky plummeting into the ground with a vicious, earth shaking WHUMP
"...Hmmm, Raining Foxes outside. "Said the elder wolf, only to pause in horror. "...Wait a minute...it doesn't rain FOXES! JULIETTE! YOU GOT SOM'SPLAINING TA DO!" He called!
