There's a spot in our yard that sprouts a cluster of these every spring. This year, some imbecile trod on them and killed all but one.

They're SO fragile, and they never last long. Which is perhaps some of the magic, really. :)

Our neighbour is a spectacular gardener, and has an amazing variety of flowers to see. Fortunately, she's kind enough to let me photograph as often as I want, and she has nothing to trample her flowers. (Aside from her dogs, who occasionally decide to flop down on a spot for some inexplicable reason)
