I remember reading a description of a poet once, and it was said he took a very workmanlike attitude toward his craft, as a woodcarver might -- if he couldn't get a chair or table out of it, he was happy even with a toy. :) I'm not familiar with Freefall, but still found this fun.

If nothing else, you've got some nice scent descriptions in the fourth paragraph that could be recycled into something else later on, and if you ever have a character who _isn't_ named Flo open an ice cream shop ;) I like your ice cream names, too.
