This is very common, and i've had it happen so much that I had to do this. It is a basic thing and it should be bam! here's my address! but instead it becomes this challenge, and I know i'm not the only one who has this problem. I'm not singling anyone out in my commissioners, so i hope no one is offended by this, but it is a problem that needs addressing!
I hope this helps people understand how frustrating it can be for artists and sometimes how confusing addresses can be.
Also, i know my grammar is not the best.....shhhh! I see my mistakes and i'm sorry i cannot please the grammar gods with a proper sacrifice!

I once had a months-long job of researching the address and status for international schools, to update a database that had apparently been mangled and mutilated over the last decade. (For instance, at one point, a list of Representatives and Senators somehow got merged into this database, and so appeared as colleges.) So not only was I trying to find and navigate addresses in various languages, but I also got to try to figure out a way to put an international address into a database designed for US addresses, and have it come out intelligible. ^_^
it boggles my mind how many people have trouble with this.
i've also met people who have trouble with post offices in general. like they seem stymied by how to mail a package.
step one write the addresses on it
step two hand it to the post office guy
step three pay for it HOW HARD IS IT

good thing I know how an US or UK adress shoudl look like, but still, there is so much space in those reply windows. use the enter key to make it more intelligible. :P
dunno if you've ever seen a german adress. it's like, name, street/house number, next line is postal code and city. and then some US sender manages to put the postal code (5 numbers indicating the area. some cities have several numbers for parts of the inner and outer city, sometimes even for front and rear half of a long main street) behind the street US postal code style. :)
our postal service still managed to deliver.
Magolobo, a mexical comic and animated artist, lives in some place that requires 8(!) lines of adress! now,. try to cram that into an entry mask...
