Jean-Marie est l'unique gendarme d'un village paumé de Périgord. Natif du village, il est accepté (à défaut d'être respecté) par les citadins. Il a cependant un tempérament différent des autres habitants. Calme, posé, accueillant, toujours prêt à rendre service, c'est un agent de la paix modèle, qui souffre tout de même du manque d'action de sa fonction. Traumatisé par la Grande Guerre, il est au départ terrorisé par la perspective d'utiliser son arme pour tirer sur qui que ce soit. Et puis au contact du héros, il finit par se dévergonder. Et à la fin, après l'avoir laissé toute une nuit dans une forêt remplie de créatures maléfique, on le retrouve en mode SURVIVOR...

Jean-Marie is the only policeman in a village lost in Perigord. A native of the village, it is accepted (if not respected) by townspeople. However, it has a different temperament from other people. Calm, cool, friendly, always willing to help, it is a peace officer model, which still suffers from the lack of action of its function. Traumatized by the Great War, he was initially terrified by the prospect of using his gun to shoot anyone. And then in contact with the hero, he ends up dévergonder. And in the end, after leaving overnight in a forest full of evil creatures, we find mode SURVIVOR ...
