An Art History project,we were instructed to make a digital painting based on expressionism (specifically, Van Gogh). I chose the subject of blue roses, for their mystery and well, impossible nature. If you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, blue roses are the Holy Grail of the rose breeding world, because they are literally a genetic impossibility to be grown naturally. Blue roses do not occur in nature. Also, roses are my favorite flower, red ones specifically, but I chose blue, for something different. This was fun to do, I loved going nuts with the brush tool in Photoshop this way, to show emphasis on expression with bright colors. Obviously, the expression in this is joy. I was also reminded of how much I miss painting :( I don't paint alot, but when I do, it's hella fun. Also note, that though proud, I know it's not perfect. Actually, I won't be submitting it like this to my teacher, he wants me to add more, and so I shall. Complimentary colors are fun [YAY!]
