Nice! Reminds me of the Scott Pilgrim beat em up game :3

Coincidently the Scott Pilgrim game should remind you of games like River City Ransom. ;)

River City Ransom was my cherry popper, and no game has ever met with such originality and style! Then came Scott Pilgrim and I cried...

I cried... that it took literally 23 years to reuse such an awesome formula! But both games get my respect and I am glad that others know of RCR!

Beat-em-ups are one of my favorite genres. Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, Alien vs Predator, Captain Commando, etc.

Oh man. those were some informative and wonderful reads... I kindheartedly thank you for showing me those articles! I am amazed there were so many more than the usual Beat 'em ups I remember playing when I was a kid...!

Now it gives me the drive to see if I can set up MAME to play them! (Though I never got the darn thing running and I wonder if people would have the roms for those games?) Heh! ^__^

That game was the bee's knees! I just loved that game, and even more when I had a full 4-player party!

How do I unlock the ultra-chips-lawliet cannonball attack?

Its simple! Just one of us needs to fill the Tag Meter and unleash the combination with the "Special" and "Grab" buttons together! No sweat!

Double Dragon was fun, but I did enjoy River City Ransom a bit more due to its caricature style and upgrading abilities!

And looks to me that I may have stumbled on something I could work on more to make it a possibility!

Ya no tanto como hace años, pero por aquí todo bar que se preciase tenía una máquina tragaperras y una ó dos máquinas arcade. Street Fighter II y Golden Axe eran los reyes por aquí.

Wow! That is quite unique. How did you get the picture too look pixelated?

I actually drew it at its natural pixel size, then enlarged it at 300% so it could be enjoyed visually! But it was loads of fun to do this and just like true video game sprites, each and every object is separated in layers!

That is quite impressive. I would really like to try that out sometime.

Wow, this looks really nice Shiro--needs a tad more shading in places, or perhaps a bit more contrast, but I like it a lot.
It looks like something you'd see in an arcade or something. :D

Contrast yes, I wanted to use softer colors, or else it would look extremely 8-bit (But if you can't tell the shading, then its no different from what I am trying to prevent...!)!

Yeah, I really wanted to draw something, and this came out and now I am hitting myself in giving false hopes that this is an image, not a screencap...!

Try it! Its really simple, and it gets addicting when ya do one and even better when you can eye at another pixel art and copy it! (But don't plagiarize!) MSPaint as basic as it is, can do pixel art quite well!

I know!! I just gave myself such inspirational hopes! I also wish this was real!

And its fairly simple! Use MSPaint, Photoshop, or even GIMP to create them, use the Marker (Pencil) at the 1px setting. Once ya get the image to look like ya want, then enlarge it by setting the attributes to be increased at 300% or more depending on how huge ya want the image. And there ya have it! Pixel Art!
