so what ended up happening is since Shai's ancestor was infected eons ago. lycanthropy became a present force in Shai's past. so anyways because of this she became more savvy with transforming and was able to procure more relics, cures and serums for the mass public. securing wealth and prosperity for her and her family.
as her pack alpha as well she was to choose a mate and turn them thus keeping with tradition of her packfor generations. thus this happy little family unit. :)
she still has interest in treasure hunting.
for now this is a happy ending :P

She's awfully accepting of, you know, her entire life changing in front of her. She was confused about the changes to her house, and the fact that she now has a husband and kids. She has no memories of any of them.
So what happens when her husband asks about any time they had together prior to this day? How does she know that she collects serums and cures for others now? Does she just suddenly look at a photo album and put the pieces together?
It's kinda like she has a giant blot of temporal amnesia covering all of her life up til now. She remembers who she was in the alternate timeline. Not who she is now.
...but her kids are cute. And she does have a loving husband. That's definitely a plus.

simple really... it's the underworld effect. notice how quickly her ancestor was turned? He was bitten but a werewolf that was considered first or second generation... they were more feral and didn't know how to control their wolf sides.
we fast forward to Shai's new present time... she's had a few hundred years where her family has learned to control it more. the changes still happen but she doesn't lose herself to the beast inside her..
