I only live about three hours away. It's a good weekend getaway. The past 6 years I've been going around my birthday for the hallow weekends, and hitting up all the haunted houses they set up there for the event. It's amazing. And the weather is much cooler than in the middle of the summer.
You should find the dates out and plan for it one year. I'm contemplating moving out closer that way even, probably to Sandusky itself, it's been an at the back of my head plan for a few years now. I love the area, if you've ever done other things besides stay at the park? It's lovely IMO.
